This grand old house, located on Niagara's famous Wine Route, was built in 1912, utitlizing leading-edge architectual techniques. Gingerbread trim, a large porch ornamented with a beautiful copper bell and an abundance of decorative details combine in unexpected ways to provide a spectacular backdrop to your wedding photographs. Copper Bell Chapel fronts one of the Niagara Region's oldest and most historically significant roadways, Portage Road. Originally an Indian Trail, it later became the route for explorers and traders as they "portaged" between the Niagara River above the falls between Chippawa and Queenston. Thus the name of the thoroughfare today. History and contemporary style merge, providing a wedding venue unlike anything else in Niagara. |
